Default uprated coil packs?

hi there, does anybody do uprated coil packs (ie ones made from better quality material) the standard plastic ones seem to be crap and break down easily over time.

Im after the set of 4 coils found on earlier classics (side of engine). any help appreciated.

surely someone must do them?

cheers

I read on here earlier that someone got some from API, for £47 each.

They are no doubt still plastic, but should still out last the car they are put on.

I am note sure whether they are uprated or not, send an email to Dave @ API on the following address, and he will confirm either way. He is very helpful.

std fit coil packs are all the same.............however you have to bear in mind that most only fail at 10yrs old+, therefore not a major issue in general terms..........

I have read on here about bosch coil packs which are supposed to be uprated. From what I read though you have to order them from a company in Australia. If you search for bosch coil packs it may bring something up.
Like everyone says though, new std coilpacks will last years and years so for the expense of uprating them, you may as well spend £200 every 10 years on the std jobbies (you probably wont have the car then anyway)

be careful when replacing coil packs as over tightening will damage them
