On behalf of a friend :
Hi all,
firstly i would like to say hi as this is my first post on here.
I bought my first Scooby 2 weeks ago. I got a 2003 blobeye WRX in silver.
I have really caught the bug and am looking to replace the backbox with something a little better to do the car justice.
I don't want to annoy the neighbours or be deafened on the motorway but i want something that will do the burble of the car justice at low revs and have a sweet roar when you put pedal to the metal.
If anyone has any sound files of exhausts i would be grateful.
I have looked at the scoobyworld site and listened to the racebox, afterburner and ninja exhaust but don't know what would be best.
After this i plan to fit some gauges. I think my credit cards will need to get locked away.

I recently went for the Ninja BB. It's given me the sound i want and is not too intrusive at all. A good option!
Got the rumble back now. I got a free high-flow panel filter for free when getting the Ninja BB, offer might still be on.
There's a site that has all the exhaust clips you could want. I don't have it in my favs as i'm at work, but it's an an american scooby forum.
I spoke with the dealer and a non-prodrive BB was not going to ruin the warranty, so speak with them first, but it shouldn't be a problem.

I have to agree. Recently put the wr back box on my blob sti and its a big improvement. The box is just loud enough without annoying the neighbours.

Ninja is the way to go! But trust me, the noise will **** off your neighbours if they wanna be funny about it. You can be heard coming up/down the road for sure.
I have a few toss pots near me, but for some reason not one of em has said owt about it![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Mind you, there is the house alarm giving false alarms a while back, that got to em, but thats another story! LOL.

I got my Prodrive WR Sport back box on ebay for £67. V. pleased with result and it's hardly any noisier on the motorway but sounds great with the windows down! The insurance co didn't want any extra cash and warranty intact. It's the same box (with oval rather than round tail pipe) as the one that comes with the PPP pack and sounds exactly the same so you might be able to pick up one of those instead.

Went from the Standard to the WR Sport, but still wasn't happy, so have just got the Racebox from Scoobyworld.
Now i'm sorted. It gives the car the sound it deserves IMHO. Not intrusive in the cabin, but loud enough to get you noticed.
Looks good too and great service from Scoobyworld.

I got an HKS on my 02Bugeye... Its 5" in diameter so a bit "in your face" for some but the noise and pops and bangs are awesome and a couple of extra BHP on the rollers too which is nice
