Warranty on new 06 EU imports
Does anyone know what the current situation is with regards new Impreza's EU Iimports bought from the likes of Motorpoint etc?
I have currently got a WRX from Motorpoint which for the best part of 3 months last year I engaged in a battle with IM and Motorpoint, I am glad to say that I have now got a vehicle with a full 3 year warranty which has just been tested as I have had to have a new prop shaft would you believe which has all been covered under the warranty.
I am starting to look around for a new car and I have looked at the prices Motorpoint are offering new WRX's for as compared to my dealer and the saving is too large to ignore, but if they are not allowing anymore EU imports on the warranty system then I wouldn't bother with the likes of Motorpoint etc.
Thanks for your info.

I have just bought one and it is.
You have to fill out a mandate instructing them to order the car for you and when the V5 arrives send a copy of pages 1&2 to motorpoint. Service book arrives within 30 days.
I haven't had mine yet (only had the car 5 days) but when i was haggling at my local dealer he told me they were trying to fix an ECU problem on a motorpoint car, so should be ok.
Saving is too big to miss, despite what some might say.
N.B. If you have no part-ex, or want to part-ex your scooby give Litchfields a try. The only reason I didn't buy from him was that he could not sell on my non-scooby part ex whereas Motorpoint gave me a good value for it.
