Default morning all

hi everyone, just joined the site, im looking to buy a scooby within the next few weeks, ive got my insurance sorted and bits like that, i was wondering if anyone can offer any advice about buying like common faults.

sorry my friend,can't help you then

but personally I'd buy a brand new mountain bike before considering an Import of that age...most of them get worn out by being driven around and around and around Town centres at nite from what I've seen

depends what hthe mileage is... cos if its direct form japan thy dont get driven as much... if its an import which has been in thsi country for a while thn i too wld consider it. but my experience with imports has been successful

its been in the country for 2 years and owned for 18months by a friend, it looks great and drives as good as it looks.
thanks for your replys everyone, are there any common faults i should look for.

as for mileage, it has done 78000km which is roughly 45000miles (i think)

45k is when a major service is due, i.e belts and all fluids, well at least it is on a UK car. I'd budget for this if your mate hasn't had it done.

he's having it serviced, taxed and mot'd before i buy, so i can see if there are any probs when the service is done.
