The chassis prefixes apply to JDM models and to add a little confusion a model year is built between (approximately) September and August. This means that a MY and the year of registration neednt be the same. Its commonly used in ignorance to refer to the registered year.

An '04 WRX Saloon, is an '04 UK WRX Saloon.
