spraying side skirts
I want to spray the side skirts on my classic but there is a rubber sealing strip between the skirt and the car, my question is do you just remove this strip or can you spray it ?

Pull the strip off and re-fit it after painting.
They are made of ABS and pretty grotty to paint, you'll need a decent plastic primer (NOT the ****e halfords sells).. Most plastic primers go on as a clear coat and almost "soak" into the plastic, you can then use a filler primer (to hide the bobbly texture of the ABS).. Rub it down again and paint..
I've painted the skirts and spats on the other halfs car, I got a little reaction with the plastic on a couple of bits but nothing that really sticks out.

Recently had my classic side skirts and rubber seal sprayed. And it makes a big different. Also had the back corners done aswell. Check out the pics
