finally getting the car derestricted tomorrow, any suggestions on what we should do afterwards with it?

plus bf has to keep filling the car up with water, can't be head gasket cause that was changed last week, so have any of you guys got any ideas?

 

get the leak fixed first before you blow lots of money on mods....

could be a warped head or block, or a cracked surface..... was it overheated?

new head gasket won't fix a warped surface....

Can you see an external leak anywhere??

Have you pulled the spark plugs on both sides of the engine to see if any of them show signs of antifreeze in the chamber (green color usually and the plug is very clean white)??


check the hoses and the radiator and heater core to make sure it is not leaking in those places if the engine seems to check out ok...

he's gonna take car to mechanics tomorrow after getting it derestricted so he will see whats going on then, but its not leaking or anything like that and nope the thermostat isn't stuck!!!

 

Seems insane to me that you would want to de-restrict the car before fixing a potentially serious water leak. Let's hope you're not back on here in a few days asking for advice on where to source a new engine because yours went pop at 140+.....
