Talking STi 'v' Gallardo

The boy done well, seems a though the Gallardo got a better start and then the Sti pulls it back a bit but eventually loses out but not by much.

http://www.browsefile.com/browsevideo.php?id=2580

What sort of power will that be pushing out??.

Mac

I was lucky enough to be taken for a lap in a of the ring in a Gallardo last month. 500 and something BHP + 4WD with a stonking V10 all adds up to one hell of a sounding, quick car........

I have a mate who has a Murcielago (sp?) and he has STi's passing him on track all day. Eats them in the straights but there's no point passing them as they rape him in the corners. His words, not mine.

With Stig at the wheel of the Lambo and Clarkson in the FQ, so a big skill difference too.

I'm sure I've seen footage from the same event with the same two cars with the scooby winning by a nose; it certainly got off to a better start, which didn't happen on this run!! Did they go more than once perhaps?

Would have to be the Gallardo, but only if you can get it RAISED as the Fu**ing speed bumps here are murder on normal cars, lol.

Bob R, never took it serious mate, sorry if it sounded like that.

Gallardo get to 100mph in ten seconds, so a 10 second scoob will be level with it ....... The gallardo goes onto 190mph, not many scoobs can manage that though can they?

That's the one!!! Thought I was going mad!!!

Of course the lambo is the more desireable car, only a moron would argue otherwise. The thing that really comes across on these type of videos is how impressive it is that a 4 door family saloon probably not worth more than 30k can be competitive and even win against a 100+k supercar on the 1/4 mile benchmark!

Respect -as always, when one is talking about jap rice rockets- is due!!!!

Remeber watchin that. Afterwards clarkson raced somet like a astra 1.6 from 30 mph in fourth gear. The astra blew the evo cause the lag was horrendous. Awesome car though.
