The PowerStation / Litchfield Type25 Race Car was absolute storming today. ![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Came 2nd overall but won their class (beating three 800+bhp EVO's including the Norris Designs one).
They also had a Type20 being run as well in the club class.
Best of luck guys for the rest of the rounds!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I look forward to seeing Mikee Singh and Paul Blamire at future events and hope they do very well!![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
ScoobyNet are looking to enter the 2006 SSO Handling ShootOut Champion car in the club class for future rounds.![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Let's show these EVO's what it is all about.![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

Norris's evo was "******* quick" on the back straight, it just ate up the tarmac and blew everyones doors off over the start finish straight.
I think we've got our work cut out to stay near the top of the leader board.
Hope you make it to the next one Paul..

But the Litchfield car had Phil Keen driving I believe - a full on professional GT driver (currently with the Eclipse Motorsport team driving a Mosler!)
Everyone else was driving their own machines.

Phill is 21 yr old TVR mechanic yea but he said today he's done more laps in our car today than in the current championship he's been in all year....
He wasn't the only professional driver out there though.

That was last year.
Apart from Phil Keen I didn't think there was anyone else at Rockingham today in the Time Attack that would be classed as "Professional" Driver.
Adrian Smith drove the Fensport Celica.
Clive Seddon drove the RC Evo.
Simon Norris drove his Evo.
Terry Pankhurst of Dimma drove his own 206.
Rob Barnes drove the Sumo Power Evo.
Dunno who drove the Abbey Motorsport Skyline or the RX7.
That was about it really apart from the club class.

Duncan used to race in my class on the hill climbs in his Dax and was just uncatchable. I think he is a part owner in Dax.
TVR's test/development driver used to compete too (Anderson?) in a factory TVR.
Get the right driver in a good car....
Anyone care to drive my.....
Graham.
Had an exciting day, a walk in the Cotswolds and fitted my free 24mm ARB and cleaned the AST's..

What a day! The car ran perfectly and it was a really promising start. Powerstation lads did an amazing job in the pits making subtle set-up changes in a very limited time. The new brake kit was mega and the AST’s worked really well.
Lots of exciting development plans for the Type-25 Race car coming through soon but what I really need is a limitless supply of front lip-spoilers
lol That’s 2 in 1 week!
All of the other cars in the Time Attack series were amazingly turned out and a real credit to the UK’s top tuners. Norris’s Evo was staggeringly fast down the straights and along with the RC Evo out blasted everyone on noise as well. Made the Viper should like a mouse!
Fensport’s Toyota Celica was also really impressive and perfectly finished. Should be a lot of fun this season.
Phil’s 22 (just) He’s a full time mechanic but he does pay for a drive in the Mosler that Powerstation help set-up. A lot of time, effort and money goes into building our car so we’re hardly going to put average/ok driver into it
Rich blew his chance at Japfest
Looks like 2006 is going to be a really busy year, Powerstation are also have a helping hand in the Suspension development of the Subaru endurance car in this years 24hr ‘Ring race http://www.subaru-msm.com/global/news/060526_2.html
We’ll get loads of photos and a video on our website soon

Thanks Chris, it should be even more fun to watch when the numbers are up further.
With the standard of those entered there are probably 6-7 cars that will fight it out over the session. We’re just please to be up there with them![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I think the organisers need to adjust the format a little (especially with more cars) for the shoot out as some people caught the car in front (on its slowdown lap) whilst in the middle of their hot lap. We lost a bit of time with the 206 WRC car (not his fault) on our timed lap as we were let out probably too early. Stuart who was driving his Type-20 Spec-C had to avoid a spinning RX-7 on his run.
But considering this is the first time it was held I thought it was a pretty slick event.
Did you see what happened to Tiff in drifting?

Iain, do you know how many cars ran in the Club Challenge class? Also how many practice laps did you get in?
I'll be running at the next round at Silverstone - see you there

Hi Terry,
I'm not really sure, I think there was about 8-10 entered. It was differcult to tell as they tended to line up together.
There not a lot of practice. We had a warm-up of 15mins but this ended up being 2 flying laps as the session was cut short by a red flag. The practice session was better with probably a good 20mins and enough time for some quick changes.
I've had a chat with the organisers at the end who are going to review how the event went but it would be good to get a bit more time on circuit or maybe something like a best of 3 lap final etc.

Cheers mate - I've never driven Silverstone before - so shall have to rely on my pure talent rather than experience - although lots of practice laps would help ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
