Road Kill

Road Kill
Well not quite!
I've had my Scoob for a few weeks now and I've already had a pigeon fly into it and a cat.
Looked like the pigeon lived, and I cant beleive the cat came out the back of the car and ran away.
Did'nt even see a bloody cat until it felt like a drove over several rocks.
Looked in the rear view mirror and bloody cat ran off.
I stopped the car and went looking for it but could'nt find it.
Unfortunately both the cat and bird will probably die of shock.
Whats the most damage caused to your scoob after hitting an animal?
Did the animal live to tell?

Had a bird glance off the roof right above the windscreen, **** that left a mess! lol. Dunno what it was, but several pieces of kitchen towel later it was left unmarked.
I had a Mark 3 Golf GTI before this, and i hit some wild animal late at night after a night out, needless to say that was roadkill, and messed up my wheel arch area, but it was not a pet animal so that made it a little easier, but you know, it actually bugged me i had killed it! Even though it was run out in the road when i came by type thing.
But so far, no damage to Subaru.
Well, there is the story of the teenagers, and the catapult, but i dont think you will want to be bored by that. Even though they nearly got my head.

I posted this a while ago, but Ill post it again in the interests of showing off.
Pheasant on the A69. Bent the front lip of the roof down aswell. Didn't know until they came to fit a new screen. Still, I'm sure other people have had worse.

I have run over a badger (car was only 2 hours old), a squirrel, a pheasant, a cat, a pigeon, and several little birds in my car. It seems to attract them!
I am not proud.
Feel bad when that sort of thing happens.
Only the pheasant caused damage.
Bob.

I missed a deer by inches on my way down to Bognor regis once, i closed my eyes and waited for the impact but it got out of the way
God knows what kind of damage it would of made because i was traveling quite fast at the time
I hit something on the way back from japfest on the M4 but havnt a clue what it was as it was pitch black

I wonder what polished bliss would recommend for cleaning that mess. Petrol and match I think. Will have to stay awake when travelling down the A9 at early hours.

Been damaged by various wildlife as I tend to drive very early morning.
I hate pigeons - damaged so many of my cars. Fat lazy ******* can't be arsed to fly away until you are a few meters away, then fly at you. Pretty scary on a bike when they bounce off you!!
Will have to go to work in the missus Cabrio with my air rifle
Worst I saw was a car hit a runaway horse. Car pretty crushed but driver ok. It was a cool morning and I will never forget the horse lying in the road steaming...

Well no damage for me both times.. but i have taken a small bird and a chipmunk into my scoop on my RS... the bird happend faster then i knew what the hell accualy happened... the chipmunk kinda happened in slow motion... driving down on of the local dirt roads to work *more fun then the paved stuff* i see this lil thing falling from the tree i'm thinking great pinecone. then when it gets about hood level i'm like OH CRAP animal. then this muffled THUD on the hood and slides up the hood/bonnet and the head gets lopped off by the scoop and the body ends up comming to rest in that crevis below the wipers... ugh it was nasty as anything but it's funny now...

Only ever experienced roadkill once ... coming round a gentle bend last summer evening and theres a rabbit in the middle of the road. I decide hes in the middle ill just pass over it and it'll be fine, about 5meters from Mr Rabbit he decides to leg it to the right .... right under my 18" alloy. Mr Rabbit died.
O and another, my dad was at work but needed his car taking in for a service so i said id drop it off at the garage. Went down later in the day to pick it up and was paying my bill when one of the mechanics came up and asked if i knew anything about this .... he was holding a phesants head in his hand. He said it'd come from the lower bumper grill ... me and my dad had a little convo about this and neither could remember mowing a phesant down, so i cant claim this one

Pheasants and kamakaze pigeons are the worst. Ran over the Pheasant on Exmoor in the old Primera - just a dull thud. I tried to shoo Mr. Pigeon by beeping but he was determined to walk under my wheel anyway, and was accordingly reduced to a sea of flying feathers in my rear view mirror - and somewhere nearby maybe, Mrs Pigeon was left to wonder what the world was coming to.
Crows and magpies etc. are too clever to get hit - even if they leave it late sometimes, they always seem to escape.
