sti or wrx?

hello fellow scooby drivers i bought a my94 wrx about 3 month ago no reason to belive i bought anything else untill i checked the chassis codes and it turned out it has a wrx body but with a sti engine but dosent have any markings ie badges or anything any help would be grateful cheers

a previous owner has probably blown the engine or the big ends have let go, and it works out cheaper to install a short block engine. this is what i did anyway.
