Exclamation *Urgent Help*

A bit of a strange problem really that has appeared with my MY00 UK turbo with PPP...

The alarm etc was working fine, no problems at all until a few weeks ago when it started going off one morning and the car wasnt due to be used for a few weeks so the battery was disconnected, and when re-connected today we have the same problem the car is immobilised and the alarm just keeps going off, and off and off lol!!!!!

I cant believe im how cursed iam with alarms had similar problems with my past 3 cars

anyone have any idea what could be up with it as we've just disconencted the battery again as it was deafening lol!

And to top it off we cant find the manual lol!

Any help would be muuuuuch appreciated!!

What make of alarm is it? The more info you can provide the quicker you could get the answer required.

yea we've tried everything like that m8!

we just have no idea whats caused it!

my dad seems to think it was a really really windy morning when it first happened but Im not sure what that could have done to cause it to persistently go off

Sounds like it might be because the battery is too low - did you recharge it before you put it back on the car ? If its the Sigma alarm, if the battery voltage drops below a certain amount the alarm will go off constantly and you cant turn it off with the fob or by turning on the ignition.

If you can get hold of a battery booster, or get a jump start, get it on the battery and try and start the car while pressing the button on the fob which should turn off the immobiliser.

in the sigma manual it just says if alarm sounding:-

check

all doors,windows,bonnet,boot,sunroof are closed.

see if theres any moving items inside car.

check all air vents are closed.

Should be a Sigma system. Check out the Security Section on here. Sigma Sam is the man

thats what were going to try hopefully it will be the battery, we never thought of that because its a brannew battery, but if the alarms been going off without us knowing it could quite easily have drained it, fingers crossed anyway
