I've got one of these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/3331178.htm but it goes on my WAGON don't konw how well it will fit on a saloon , especially if you have a high rear wing . It's good because it mounts the bike high up so the bike doesn't cover your lights .

Bit the bullet and bought a Thule system for my my03 sti the other month. I've also got 2 sets of Fapa Velos to put the bikes on from here: http://www.roofbox.co.uk/index.html
Only used in once so far, although I'm thinking of organising a scooby meet for us bikers at Coed y brenin

Have a similar set up on mine although my bike fits inthe boot nicely so as to not drag the car back too much when just carrying one bike.
Coed y brenin is superb and would be a great weekend

Bike rack - bane of my lift
Putting it on, putting three bikes on, getting them off.....
I wish I'd bought some roof bars now.
BTW mine's a Halfords one and I wouldn't recommend it because it's such hassle with all the straps. The instructions are naff as well, it's something I've learnt with experience. First time I thought it was secure, drove off and the bloomin' thing and bikes fell straight off
