Default Quick question for you M1 (southern) drivers

Quick question for you M1 users I'm due to drive the Scoob up to Silverstone tomorrow for the Qualifying day of The grand prix, from Essex. I see on the web that there are road works before Luton and it says to expect delays of 50 mins . Is this the case or have they got it wrong ???.Couple this with the M25 roadworks and I may as well leave now in order to ever get there

Thanks for any input

Dave

These are the delays caused by the "average speed cameras", I drove South bound past it all yesterday and it was a nightmare in both directions.

Leaving now would not be such a bad idea, cheap B&B

You can also get to Silverstone via the M40.

It probably is. the M1 is a joke at the moment so when going north I head up the M40 then cut across.

You can also jump on the A5 at Hemel and it'll take you almost all the way, bar a few turns near the end.

Drove up to Birmingham from Brighton on Monday and back again on Tuesday... used the M40.
Had no problems, was empty nearly all the way there!
