Hi guys,

I was wondering....which would ultimately get me more power?? I get up to 98 octane fuel over here but the ambient temps are really high...hitting 34-35 deg cels in the noon.

JDM wrx engine - 250 ps, compression ratio 9:1 AVCS etc etc

Euro wrx engine - 218ps, compression ratio 8:1

i know as an out of the factory car, the JDM wrx is hard to beat...spools quicker, as much better off boost response due to the higher CR..but what about doing a staged upgrade on both cars. would i not be able to tune in as much boost with the jdm engine as i can witht he euro engine (lower CR)

will i be limited by the high CR of the jdm engine??
