The Bug eye is also known as a version 7, the version 8 spoiler also fits
What you want is a version 8 sti spoiler, you will need to drill your bootlid or have it bonded on however, as only 4 of the holes are compatible.

best option is to go for a full boot lid change to avoid extra drilling, spraying and fitting etc also the sti spoiler is heavier therefore the spring loaded device in the boot on the wrx will not be up to the job and the boot may not stay open.if you cannot locate one try scoobyworld who currently have an offer on the replica spoiler inc spraying. the version 7+8 sti spoilers that will fit your car do look far better imo than sti 5+6 spoilers(unless its on a classic). beware tacky ebay crap. you will regret it later.

I fitted an sti spoiler to my bug when i had it and had no problems at all with the springs, stayed open and never once hit me on the back of the head
Bought mine of ebay from a guy called David Wilson (i think) who owns a body shop. It was painted and fitted by them at my place of work. The price which was 400 quid included painting and fitting anywhere in the uk.
Might not have been cheap but it was top quality, much better than the bouncing thing on my STi 8.

Nope, an exact replica of a ver 8. The company bought an original from Subaru then made a mould from it. Their version much better than the Subaru effort.
