find a company in the US that stocks them and get them imported. If you really want them, it might be the only way.

Why are they now saying it's best to fit 235 section tyres on the 18" wheels ?? I've got 225 section tyres on mine. Why have Prodrive/Subaru changed this ? does anyone know, as I'll be changing my tyres soon ?

We recommend a 235/40 tyre on 05/06MY STi as there are better tyres now available in this size but they don't fit 02-04MY STi so you need to use a 225/40.

The 8x18" GC05 wheel above is available from your Subaru dealer in 5x100 & 5x114.3 fitment as well as 8.5x18" GC010E in 5x114.3 for 05/06MY STi. The reason they are more expensive than our 'normal' range of wheels is that they are forged ie very strong but most importantly very light. They take the std nuts but the key for the locker is too big in diameter so you need a new set with a smaller dia key.

The wheel in the top picture is probably something like ET33 for a Skyline or similar, the Subaru design by necessity is slightly different to clear the calipers and still fit inside the bodywork.

Regards

Mike

I think they are much better looking than the PFF7's.

Would Subaru sponser me with a free set? LOL Come on chaps it was worth a try because I'm never going to be able to afford them till the lottery numbers come in.

Mike they are v.nice indeed but alas I could only just stretch to some new PWRC1's so bit out of my price range. I always thought 225's over 18x8 were a bit stretched anyway, which is why I went for PWRC1s on18/7.5s not PFF7s.
