Why do some MY03 (bug) wrx sti's have MY02 (blob) steering wheels?

Question Why do some MY03 (bug) wrx sti's have MY02 (blob) steering wheels?
Has anyone else noticed this.. I have seen a few now MY03's and am about to go through with a purchase. Some have the four spoke (momo style) steering wheel like the blob eye and some have the later 3 spoke with the sti logo?

I am sure I am not goind mad, have a look for yourselves at the trader, where sellers have mulitple pictures inc interior??

Any replies to help me make a decision.

The 3 spoke silver steering wheels were released on UK & US STis originally with JDM STis having the 4 spoke momos.

and youve got the bug/blob years the wrong way round bug = 2002, blob = 2003 on

so all 03 STi TypeUK's should have the 3 spoke steering wheel? and not the 4 spoke momo?

The blobeye models have two different wheels, too. My mate had a 2003 whereas I have a 2005 model, and the steering wheel seemed enormous on his car compared to mine.
