Question best place to buy STI Panel Filter ?

I did a google search and found one company selling them for £59 saying it was a genuine STI filter and i've have heard you can get them for about £45, but where from and are the exactly the same as the £59 one and still genuine. I would only want a genuine STI one and I'm not interested in any other make ie K&N, Piper, Green etc or open air / induction kits.

Any help gratefully received.

I always used to get mine from Simon Lau at STI Racing, last group buy was about £39 I think - not sure if he's still going though.

Not sure of any UK suppliers that are under £50.00.

Funnily enough I've emailed him for a single price and also a group price.
I'll post the reply when it comes.

I was interested in the STI filter but was put off by the fact that it is a service item and would have to be changed at the proper service intervals. The prices that I found for them were £55-£60

I was going to use it between services and put the OEM back in when it is in the dealership. I believe the Air filter is serviceable every 30,000 miles, seems very high to me personall I would do it at 10,000. still, that's only £5.50 per month at 1000 miles per month

Thats correct every 30,000 miles or 36 months. I do 6000 miles a year so with the service prices as they are I didn`t bother. Also I phoned Prodrive to see if they would recommend an air filter to go with my PPP and they told me to stick with the standard paper one as there was hardly any gain from swapping. If you get one I would be interested how you got on.

I bought my last one from Roger Clark Motorsport, Simon Lau is cheaper but takes a lot longer to get them from him.
