Default Quick, what does this mean??

I've had a little "A" appear on the clock next to my trip mileage. I'm assuming its nothing major, I'd just like to know what it means before I embark on my 150 mile journey home.

Thanks.

I think it's the button to record your mileage. Turn it 1 way and it records on clock A and, turn it the other way and it records it on clock B.

Hope this helps??

you have two trips an A and a B - it is currently showing you the A trip, briefly press the trip reset to switch to B, hold to reset the current trip readin

It's a top feature and as much use as the 'bright' switch

I think its a top feature, I use trip A to record my daily mileage for my mileage sheets for work, and I reset trip B every time I fill up the tank to see how well my car is performing with regards to MPG.

A quick look in your owner's manual would have told you this

For me

trip A = mileage on current tank

trip B = mileage since last oil change

it's a good feature.

I thought they only went up to 999 then back to zero..? Unless you change your oil every 1k..?

I may be wrong however..!

Indeed it would have. However my owners manual was at home, I was not.

The reason I was concerned was because it seemed to appear for no reason. Presumably I pressed a button inadvertently.

Where is this button?

The button is by the Speedo/Rev Counter.

When they say button it is a stalk about 1" long, turn it and hold it, for about 2 seconds to the right & A or B comes up.

Turn & hold in the opposite direction and A comes up.

Strange thing this ....... I had a play with mine and find out that I can turn the miles back

Hold the button in for 3 minutes, release, then hold in again for 5 minutes.

Then you will be able to turn the shaft left or right - decreasing or increasing the mileage!!!

Bloody Hell!!

If you hold it down for a further 18 minutes, get out of the car, touch your toes, then hold it down for another 3 minutes it'll give you an extra 40BHP.
