MY01 on Driven

Even he didn't like the headlights! I keep looking but I just can't bring myself to like them.
I'm obviously biased having lusted after the current shape since the Impreza arrived I finally realised my dream in September. But I have to say some of the earlier pictures in autocar etc looked superb i.e better looking than the current model. What were they thinking of?

Seems strange, but it's actually growing on me every time I see it. Then again it looks much improved in black with the STi headlamps ...
But, as Mr. Plato said, you can't see the headlamps from the inside.
Andrew.

Well, it was nice of Jason Plato to comment on the model we know and love to be "the ultimate boy-racer's car". That'll give me a lot of kudos in the company car park tomorrow with the BMW boys - not. Grrrrr.

Its growing on me....stick some good spoilers on it...different wheels...big fat exhaust....in a few months I think we'll all grow to like it and accept it into the Scoob family
...boy I talk jibberish at 11.30pm !!!

Summary of Plato's views on the car:
More refined than before
Ugly front lights
More power required
Better interior than before
Driving position very good but not excellent
280BHP version will arrive later (but only if they can get past the strct European regulations).
I'm glad that Penny wasn't in the car whinging about how scared she was at Jason Plato's driving. She whinges (or feigns fear) so much for an ex-rally driver.

Gawd, it's bloody horrible.
It looks OK (just ) from some angles but bug-eyed and just plain terrible from others.
Dunno what the designers were thinking of.
Look at some images on the web of the next Evo or the Mazda 626PS, man they look the dogs danglies
The new scoob is probably the worst new car style wise since someone (probably the same person) designed the front end of the Hyundai Coupe.
I actually had one on order (new scoob that is) a while back but due to one thing or another cancelled ..
Mighty glad I did
Sorry, no scoob for me as yet .....
Doofus.

don't like it at all, cross between a toyota corolla & a hyundai.
However the black one in the pic from Andrew with gold rims does look a bit better.
Seems a strange marketing ploy to me...me thinks the design guys at subaru have been "sniffin the glue"
Sorry in advance to all those that have already placed orders.
