Just wanting a bit of advice really. I have an 02 STi and was wondering what the garage will be doing. Its only done just over 23k and is nearly 4 years old. Will it just be the general stuff, oil change etc? What about the the air con, will it need re-gassing? Any idea on cost? Any comments will be grateful. Thanks.

I've just had 30k service on my bugeye. Plugs, oil, gearbox oil, diff oil, coolant changed, oil filter, fuel filter. Came to £350 at dealers. I think your next one will be minor service (oil/filter change), dealer charged me £155 for same service. Not sure if it's different for sti. As for air con, they'll test to see if its cold enough probably, if it aint broke, don't fix it !!!

£450 does seem pricey. I was quite happy with £350 for a full service. How can subaru warrent charging differnet prices for the same thing !!!!!. The parts should be the same and i'm sure the hourly rate is fixed. It might be worth questioning

Had my 40K/4 year service carried out by Scoobyclinic (near Chesterfield) a couple of weeks ago. It was £180 but I upgraded the engine oil and brake fluid, if you don't want to upgrade its £135 all in.

About to get 60000 mile service done on my 2001 WRX. Apart from the timing belt, what does it involve ? (No, I don't have a manual !). Better to use main dealer for this service ? Any advice welcome !!

at subaru on a 60k you proberly get lights and levels/ oil and filter. pollen filter 1 or 2 other stupid little things like removing leaves from wiper area and tyre pressures .. handbrake check and a timing belt .then they ring you up and say your brake fluids due an ya coolant due and your pads wont make next service and looking for other work the technican is probly on bonus looking for easy jobs . wanting another 300 when all ya need is a belt, levels, check over and oil and filter .just telling you what to watch out for fella.
