Default 100 k Miles!

Working on about 220 miles to a tank, I reckon this little lot would have cost in the region of twenty grand!!!!

I sold mine about 18 months ago with 50,000 on the clock (15 months old) and now have a 54 plate WRX SL with 50,000 on it (not getting out of the office quite so much now )

Did 100,000 in a MY00 which I had before the STi, although it had an engine rebuild at 92000.

There is a guy at work who had over 220k on his 93 legacy estate (just the usual wear and tear items to replace), he now drives a 3ltr lelgacy (05 model)

My MY03 Sti is some way behind you. Just clocked up 12500 miles.
It may take a lifetime to hit 100k

wow .. a lot of replies .. not been on here for a while ... up to 102k now

problems on the way ...
just about to have my rear suspension mounts fixed for the second time
3 batteries
boot lock just seized ... same time as boot release cable snapped !!!
2 lots of rear wheel bearings
wire snapped from ecu that affected valve timing

just about to have 2nd cam belt change

all in all pretty problem free ... all fixed under extended warranty.

warranty runs out end of year and then it's a free for all on the mods, if the remainign parts are up to it ... i feel it's in throw away mode now after 100k, so it's play time and what ever happens it's done it's time.

still love it every day and would rather do the long distance mileage in my scoob rather than use the wife's eclass .. seats are so much better.

if you add consumables and servicing and depreciation to the petrol i reckon i've done £50k. ... so that's 50p a mile

yeee haaa

WOW..looks like mine has a way to go.

MY03 STI + PPP....just done 7900 miles.

The previous owner had it for 2 and a half years and covered 3900 miles. He spent more time polishing it than driving it!!

change oil on service intervals. top up 1-2 ltrs at 5-7k in between.

run 90% on optimax ... rest on other SU ... only had 2 emergency 95 ron moments.

... oh forgot the camshaft oil seal leak (as per P1doc) , just found on 100k service.

My 02 had done 37K when I bought it 20 months old.

I don't do too many miles so now it's on 59K.

Only problems were a MAF (died just after fitting an induction kit, now removed!), cam belt followers replaced with belt - although you could say they are also consumables, and the RH folding mirror doesn't fold.

Oh and it's a Jap import. Probably run on 95RON for the first 37K, then optimax since I've had it. Remapped at about 42K.

Ive got a 2001 wrx bugeye with nearly 105,000, my back shockers have just gone so im replacing all 4 shocks and springs , but apart from that ive never needed to spend and money on it apart from wear and tear things tyres, brakes pads and disks, ive had a h&s downpipe and centre pipe fitted but no re-map yet which im stilling wondering is it still worth me getting it mapped with all those miles on or does not not really matter. I also cannot belive how stong these engines are as this car has not had an easy live, always say to myself everyday i get in it that i will drive slow today, but i cannot resist myself from the loud pedal.
