Is the Classic Series Mcrae an import or UK car?

I thought it was a UK car, but I have looked at one with KMP/H.
Also the seats were red with STi on. I thought they were embroidered with "series mcrae".

What should be distinctive in a Mcrae?

 

It's definately a UK car; the seats should be embroidered 'sports' seats as you state.

 

Dark blue paint, 16" gold Speedline Safari (8 spoke) alloys, Recaro's with mesh headrests and a fancy pattern on the fabric, standard rear spoiler, a little plaque on the console and "Series McRae stickers with a little Union Flag beside them on boot and wings. Maybe Aircon too.

Don't think STi seats and a km/h speedo ever featured, unless there was a non UK Series McRae (unlikely as I believe they were put together in UK by IM/Prodrive, but may be wrong).

Missed anything anyone?

 

it sound to me like a sti 2 555 u are talking about the series mcrea has recaro seats with mcrea embroidered on the and mesh head restraints as mentioned above a quick search on SIDC should show ya

you must have been looking at a "555" edition as mentioned above..................
