Default HELP - Alarm key fob problem.

Hi all,

I know this could go in the security section, but I need help a bit urgently.

Just changed the remote key battery in my one piece key remote for my MY03 WRX. Now it doesn't work Tried the old battery back in and that doesn't work either

It's in the right way, it's clean, there's nothing jammed in it and I don't live near a mast or anything. My warranty went in March so Subaru assistance is not an option.

I don't have my spare key to hand and I'm not even 100% sure where it is

Do I have to do some tricky on off shake a leg turn round on the spot and press the button thing to get it working again or am I up a creek..?

I'm booked in to Hayward & Scott tomorrow and Goodwood on Sunday and don't fancy doing the keypad pressing thing all the time.

Can anyone PLEASE help...?????

BIG thanks in advance for any help..!!

Nige

I think you need to reprogramme the key to the alarm unit. Has happened to me on my classic and thats what i had to do.

see here: http://www.couture-fashion.co.uk/Subaru/sigma.doc

save to your computer and open with word.

think if the battery is out for over 30 seconds (ish !) the fob needs reprogramming.
