I wouldn't have thought you would need a remap although it is advised to do it. You can probably run higher boost more safely with a front mount as it is allowing the air going into the engine to be a lot cooler. There is no increase in the amount of air going into the engine just a reduction in the temperature of the air.

It depends. if you have the spare cash get it mapped as its one of the best mods you can do anyway but if you don't then i can't see it causing any problems. It would run better if you had it remapped but it comes down to wheather its worth it to you.

I have a 94wrx with the same sort of spec as yours with a small topmount had it mapped at scoobyclinic with a scoobyecu and got 295bhp. I fitted a FMIC with a custom induction, that I built into the wing and had it mapped again and got 330bhp/340lbft. So I recomend to get a remap as I got a huge jump, plus as it starts to get near winter you will start to hit fuel cut with overboost, thats why i had mine done.

Definetly needs doing.

My boost peak raised by about .3 bar after taking a new age STI TMIC off and replacing with a hybrid.

The boost will need sorting, it will take more advance, and require more fuel.
