Sorry to hear that mate,
The same thing happened to me with DTM Motorsport (Scotland) UK Ltd in Edinburgh.
I ordered front and rear brake pads, for £127.66, and after they failed to deliver I tried to get my money back.
Arrggh, not only had they gone into receivership, but they were already in trouble when they took my order and should not have accepted it in the first place. *******s.
Spoke to Trading Standards and they effectively said 'there is nothing we can do about it'
Moral to the story is to always use a credit card, in which case you can always get the money back ... Unfortunately I used a solo card and these have absolutely no consumer protection whatsoever.
Don't hold your breath waiting to get your money back, you don't stand a chance
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
Andrew.

On a small point of order.
Are you guys 110% sure that this is the correct information. I'd hate there to be a we're alright chaps post in a day or so's time from a disgruntled bikes UK employee.
I'm not doubting your word on the matter, just saying be careful. The Same goes for the reported demise of any company BTW.

From the MCN web site:-
bikes-uk, the country’s second biggest chain of dealers, has gone into receivership.
The firm called in receivers Grant Thornton at 9pm last night and staff at the 16 dealerships were told the news this morning.
Grant Thornton says the 14 shops around the country will continue trading as normal and that firms have already expressed an interest in buying Bikes-UK as a going concern. Carnell-City has ruled itself out of the running.
Grant Thornton’s Nigel Ruddock, said: " We are aiming to continue trading and the bike manufacturers are being supportive of that aim. We have funding lines for buying the bikes and stock is available. "
Cash flow is likely to be a priority right now, which means there are bound to be bargains on current stock.
The chain was formed last year when Bikes-UK spent £5.7 million on buying 15 independent dealers – mainly in the west of England – and then brought them under the same banner.
Among the 14 now running are 10 former Fowlers branches, which changed their name to Bikes-UK, while the other four kept their original titles.
Ruddock added: " It’s been a tough market since Bikes-UK launched and they didn’t get the systems in place to generate money quickly enough. "
We’ll bring you more as we get it.
