Ah... you see, thats where the confusion must have come from, if you went to the lovely estate that is Rylands... the shops are always boarded up there... Im taking that you obviously didnt stop the car from moving otherwise you'd have been on blocks wondering what the hell happened to your wheels

Preston - Ribble/Samlesbury(sp?).. its all the same

Seems to be churning out relatively accurate figures - 4.54 seconds for a standard STi v4 (280bhp @ 1275kg) with the official figure being 4.6.

Mine is running exactly 300bhp and it quotes 4.28 which seems about right too.

Apologies, I thought it meant to work it out like this :

1270 / 321 = 3.95 x 0.9 = 3.56

I was never very good at maths though

To be fair, I reckon when I last went on the strip and I got the launch hooked up properly (12.6 seconds 1/4 mile), it wouldnt be a million miles from that, have you seen the standard (276bhp) 0-60 figures for a Type R....? (IIRC 4.3?) or been in one thats done a proper launch... it kind of makes your stomach churn!

Oh yeah... your thoughts on the maths seeing as you've made a point of it?

Seem to be pretty accurate, I don't know why.

12.6 1/4 mile is pretty impressive, I took my T25 to Santa Pod a couple of weeks ago, the best time I managed was 13.5 secs. Admittedly it was 30 degrees, but the they are supposed to be able to do a 1/4 in low 12's

I wasnt meaning your thoughts on the actual figure in relation to the real 0-60 times, it was more the fact you questioned my maths like Id worked it out wrong... I got flash backs of being at school again

As for the 12.6... theres more to come from that now I've got an uprated clutch/lightened flywheel fitted and a couple of other mods... want to get into the 11's but that'll be next year by the time I've got everything done to achieve that.

I get 3.64 for my wagon (if it's 1,300 Kgs)

What do classic wagons weigh?

A regular T25 wouldnt have enough power to do that with a normal driver...

high 12 maybe tho.

you're all using dry weights and not factoring in a driver

Cool, look at my figures!! MY99 319bhp 1235 dry weight.

Bit optimistic I suspect! Especially with me behind the wheel

Power at Flywheel (BHP) : 319
Weight without Driver (KG) : 1235
Power to Weight Ratio (BHP Per Ton) : 262.45
0 - 60 (Secs) : 3.97
0 - 100 (Secs) : 10.43
60 - 100 (Secs) : 6.46
Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.65
Terminal Speed (MPH) : 110.11
Drag Strip Quarter Mile (Secs) : 12.25
Drag Strip Terminal Speed (MPH) : 113.82

By normal driver I assume you mean one not prepared to bounce the car off the limiter at the start

I can defo get into the 12's though, I think short shifting maybe the answer

its all possible, but like you say...maybe not with you bhind the wheel

Bob'5s managed 3.7 to 60 and 11.7 in a 340bhp classic....so it can be done.
