Default best way to fit a sunstrip

ok guys
i am having a new wind screen fitted today, so i will be needing a new sunstrip

Is it easier to put the decal/graphic onto the sunstrip before fitting to the windscreen, or fit the sunstrip first and then apply the signage after,

The last time i did this,i could not get the decal to line up,due to the curve of the screen,it never looked right

all advice grateful guys

cheers mark

I had one made up for my Lancia, a Lancia Martini sunstrip. The letters were on the strip.

It took 3 strips to get one to actually stay on, but that was some years ago, they may have got better...

Its a pain in the **** to do. You would be better fitting the lettering first to the sunstrip. When applying the sunstrip, use a credit card to slowly push out the air bubbles that you get.

so

fit the decal/logo before applying strip to car

plenty of water/fairy liquid mix sprayed onto the screen

place on sunstrip and ajust until lined up

squee-gee the strip into place, removing water and bubbles from underneath

trim edges with craft knife

stand back and admire(or have a childish rant and rip off sunstrip when ***** up )

jobs a good 'en
