if its a standard ecu then it cant be remapped, you will need either a scoobychip,or a piggy back ecu like a unichip or similar.Other option it a complete ecu swap like apexi power fc or Gems etc which isnt a cheap option but is fully remappable

Gems are like 1200+ just for the ecu

Apexi purchased and mapped to your car roughly £900....... although can be done cheaper if you can source a unit secondhand....

Doesnt Andy Forrest till supply fit and map an A'PEXi for £750? I wouldnt bother with the GEMS; in my opinion theyre more sizzle than sausage. A ScoobyECU-type daughter board might be a reasonable stop-gap too. Mapped-to-suit solutions from ScoobyClinic arent far short of the A'PEXi price (so Id wait a little longer for the PowerFC); but a generic solution from ESL for £200 could be just what youre looking for.

As an aside the 6K has* very very similar ignition and fuel maps to the C1 & C2 series Z4 ECU, which runs very happily on SUL (100RON fuel wasnt commonly available in japan then after all...)

Simon

*Id still confirm this with someone knowledgable like Scott.T though
