A friend of mine has just bought a new(ish)car, now he would have had a scoob but the fact is that it wasnt practical enough for him and his missus, so instead hes gone out and purchased a 3ltr v6 vauxhall omega, 32 miles on the clock, w reg, been sitting in the dealers for nearly 6 months, 27k new and how much did he and his missus pay??????
18k!!!!!!!! well as a commiseration present (and also due to the fact his missus is about to give birth to their first baby, which just happens to be a boy) ive got him his own subaru challenge scalectric so he doesnt miss out

TonyBurns,
Your friend has my deepest sympathy.... Imagine the torture everytime he is driving his Omega and sees a scooby. Also although imprezas don't hold their value as well as they used to do I bet it will still be worth more than his omega in a few years time!
How the hell is an Omega and more practical than a scooby wagon?? Is the truth of the matter that he wanted one but his wife has possesion of his *********??

MV6? A good car, good price, but I hope he's planning in keeping it for a while cos in a year that car's going to be worth around £12k. I know all cars depreciate, but the Omega seems to have a depreciation cliff, rather than the slope most other cars have.

Yup, its the MV6, his missus has her head screwed on right, went into the dealer and gave them an envelope with a cheque in, told them to ring her the next week, cheque was for 17k, but ended up with 18k, she took all the depriciation into account and they going to keep the car for 5 yrs or so

It amazes me how much some parents go overboard on packing a car. I have a baby and IMHO the wagon is big enough for all our stuff. My wife has a Puma and we still can get kit in that (we have to since I wrapped my MY00 wagon round a tree).
MV6 may be a good car, but its still a Vauxhall!
