Default JDM Power

Hi guys,
Sorry for maybe a stupid question, but I have had a look about and couldnt find the answer and hoped someone could point me in the right direction.

I fancy a 2003 model STI 9 but what I would like to know is what is the power difference between the uk sti and the JDM one?
The jdm seems to have a few different bits like different turbo, redline, and manifold, but the power figures both seem to be about 280 bhp?

What are the correct power figures, and is the JDM one much quicker or much better on the road?

Another question is are the 2litre sti or the 2.5litre sti much different in power and mpg, or does the bigger engine just make it heavier?

I seen motorpoint doing the new shape 2.5 litre for only £15 grand which is about the same price as as the JDM 2003 model

Personally, I think the twin scroll setup is fair better than the single scroll EU setup. Having owned both, I would always go for the JDM version.

Everything stock (engine and turbo) on a JDM of that year with a remap, panel filter and exhaust will get you 360bhp.

Regards,
Shaun.
