Does ECU cut boost when hot?
#1
Can anybody advise me on this.
I currently run a 92 WRX with a full scorpion exhaust (no cats) and air filter. Boost normally peaks at 13 then holds 12 psi, but after hard driving it drops and only manages to reach about 8 psi.
Drive softly for a bit and it comes back, can anybody tell me if this is normal or do i have a fault?
Also i notice a big difference in performance from day to day dependind on what mood the car is in (this is the best way to describe it)
Any help from anybody i would really appreciate.

Darren,
Not sure about your boost problem (?) but turbo cars are affected by the weather. I think the best conditions for power are the worst for driving fast, cold and wet. Hot and dry is bad.
Just realised your a newbie. Welcome to Scoobydom.

I have a very similar problem on my 94 WRX
But I have to drive 'SLOW' for a while before it comes back. And I really do notice the difference???????
This was even on a cold damp evening..
Same thing on day to day mooods aswell.....
Strange!!!!!!!
