Sorry- Outlook Express quickie
#1
Sorry as there's no IT forum (yet) I'm putting this hear.
briefly, does anyone know how to get rid of the text in the title bar of Outlook Express>
It says Outlook Express provided by ic24.
I want to get shot of the provided by bit ('cause it wasn't the cheecky gets).
Am running Win2K and OE 5 (5.50.4133.2400).
I Have tried Local Settings in MMC (User COnfigWindows SettingsIE MaintenanceBrowser User Interface). It reckons it should be blank.

Here it is.
Backup your system files.
Run regedit
Open up the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Identities {bla bla bla} (there will be around 3 of these)
Software
Microsoft
Outlook Express
5.0
On the right hand side you should find "Windows Title", which you can edit (saving on exit).
You may have to search through the other {xxxx} bits before you find the right one, mine was in the second.
Cheers,

The same goes for Internet Explorer, but I seem to remember that it is under a different section, so just run Regedit and do a search for "provided by XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX" and change to whatever you want "provided by Scooby doo"
