Default Classic my 95

Im about to purchase a classic my95 in excellent conditon 50k genuine miles, completetly standard, it is a jap import

Will this have 240 bhp as standard and the std 0-60 and top speeds

How easy and how much to get this to my target of 300 bhp ?
Finally what will the 0-60 and top speed be once modified to this spec ?

Thank you

MY95 is 256bhp on 100ron fuel.
0-60 around 5 secs, top speed around 145mph.
to get more power you'll need exhaust, filter & chip. The ECU will be around £200 for a daughterboard chip or £600-700 (IIRC) for a bespoke ECU like a Power FC.
0-60 will drop a few tenths at that spec, maybe to mid 4s. Top speed won't alter much as gearing runs out at about 150.

Without wanting to appear to be argumentitive: 100RON fuel wasnt available when this car was manufactured. Itll produce 260PS (assuming its a C-Series MY95 car) and run happily on good quality SUL or Optimax.

If your speedo now reads 180mph then itll go quite quickly, if it only reads to 115mph or so then the speed limiter remains and thats how fast it will go.

Eh ? Couldn't this also be a "turbo" rather than a wrx etc ? just from my95 doesn't really say much.

Cheers for the fuel correction, Simon. I didn't want to open that can of worms!! As a side note, in my completely unbiased view (hehe) the VII MY95/96 is a good example of the marque and alot of fun, even with standard power.......

p.s. I'm assuming WRX....
