Brun made me do it
Ey up ya'll
Drove Brun's Scoob last night and wow, quick motor, but as i ride a gix750 (run's and ducks for cover) your never actually gunna find me selling the bike to by a car....which got me thinking...
Why the hell do you lot bother with 4 wheels ok, yeah they are quick but when it comes to outright fun they aren't even in the same postcode as a bike.....and if i am utterly honest can't see any car getting me around as quick as a bike....like say to the coast and back (bout 120 miles).
Come on be honest your all bikers deep down, just a bit scared of alllll that power now aren't ya

hmmmm, Letme think.
What do you do with all your gear (lid, gloves, boots and leathers) when you get to your destination???
I just jump out of the car and I'm ready to go.
Must be a pain to sit exposed in all weathers whilst those in cars get to sit in the dry, with the Ac on(depending on weather), listening to tunes on the radio and sitting in comfy seat.

Bikes are good for commuting, and getting through the traffic, but I really wouldn't want to go back to something slower than I already have
And putting bikes in their place is "outright fun"
Mark.

You make a small mistake in a car, you might crash, and damage your car.
You make a small mistake on a bike ...................... YOU DIE.
I'll stick to 4 wheels thanks. Plus all bikers are Gay

Old grannies at junctions struggle to notice my car, let alone a bike.

I find the idea of dressing like a Power Ranger pretty off-putting for a start....
...and disagree with the "we're very, very fast so we own the road" attitude that a lot (I didn't say all so don't bother having a pop) of bikers have. Rarely a day goes by when I'm not confronted by a two-wheeled terror speeding towards me on the wrong side of the road.

Bikes are cool, but
a)I couldnt be arsed to keep putting all the clobber on everytime I got on my bike
b)After being ran off the road in to a ditch at 60mph by another car, which resulted in me being thrown over the front of the bike, tends to make bikes lose their appeal quite quickly.
Regards,
Shaun.

You'll always be playing the catch up game........IF you are a decent driver
oh and you better have your traction control, 4 wheel drive, power steering and everything else that drives the car for ya...honestly my Gran could drive fast with all that.
Briforbes: gotta agree there are some shocking leathers out there and there are some shocking riders aswell....but then that goes for cars aswell.
Disclaimer: that wasn't a pop...more fact.

To be honest, I didn't realise your bike was THAT slow............. if my car was that slow, I'd be gutted
You're just another cocky biker, making assumptions, who end up looking daft

Don't know the 0-60, but I'd guess sub 3 seconds, 1/4 in 10.4, don't know what the flat out top speed is, but it's been measured at 194.8, 0 - 1 mile.
Oh, and my car is slow, Andy F, Paul, or Gulli, would make you look REALLY daft All of them run in the 9's.

So let me get this right, you post on a Subaru forum that your bike is quicker than most Scoobies on here.
Yes it it, well done.
However, most people on here don't join other forums of slower vehicles just to boast how much quicker ours are, we'd look like *****...like you are doing here.
Is there any particular point you are trying to get at???

And those who have "bike fast" scoobs obviously either figured i am just playing here or don't give a f**k....don't be so sensetive.
I'll pack up my rod and leave...for now, good days fishing me thinks

Your question/comment....
I guess if you add certain criteria into the equation, you'll come out where you want, a little like car owners saying they are quicker than bikes, so long as they only include bikes up to a certain power & cost
Out the box, 600cc + bikes will leave 99% of cars, all cars, standing, the £ V performance is phenomenal, but we all know that.......
I'd like to see your face though, when you get left standing by a car
Both are fun, cars are safer, bikes are cheaper. I've had quick bikes, but I value my appendages now days
Mark.
