any help with local speed shops, performance shops, and or ecutec tuners (need a reflash soon) in the area...or even the country would be greatly appriciated.... also any places to buy race gas...would also help alot

also, what is the octane rating of your pump gas (petrol) over there?, my car perfers 100 oct here in las vegas(altitude is 2000ft) but im not sure what it will like at sea level and your cold temperatures in the U.K., here its easily 118F in the summer and detonation is a major problem with low octane gas

the subaru club i belong to in LAS VEGAS: www.flat4lv.com

Hi Steve, welcome. I'm based up the road from Lakenheath at RAF Marham and also new to the area. There's a site called scoobycity.co.uk that seems to be based in the south east of England so check it out also if you're looking for meets etc.

Hope you enjoy the new found performance of your car in the cold British October compared to the heat and altitude of Nellis!

Hello there

Live not so far away near Bury St Edmunds, will look forward to meeting up.

The area of the country you are actually going to be in is coloquially know as East Anglia and that is a part of the much larger (for us Brits) South East - South East includes London.

As pointed out above, scoobycity.co.uk runs a forum and meets etc and is based in Norwich, some 35-40 miles away & is considered "East Anglian" in focus. There are sometimes meets in Cambridge (20-25 miles) and Herts (50 miles). Also check out the Subaru Impreza Drivers Club (sidc.co.uk) for local meets.

As for being a septic? Well...

Will keep an eye out. There is a bloke who I think is based in Mildenhall with a bright yellow EVO as well.

Talking

will be interesting trying to drive on your roads
Well, just be careful - there is a horrendous road death toll in the area, disproportionately American, largely due to people off the bases forgetting which side of the road they should drive on

Maybe he's just the burger flipper in Usher's pole dancing club (no offence intended Steve )

Not much chance of getting on the base either these days!

And not many secrets round the base with an active spotter contingent and around 20 viewing areas

Welcome Steve

Best fuel is Shell Optimax at 98 ron, will be 100 ron and renames V Power by the time you arrive.

Heres the bad part £1.00 a litre, its going to be a shock for you.

Nice part of the country although a little quiet.

J

p.s Bring plenty of warm clothes...
