Default Stolen Legacy B4. V303 LMA, Purple/blue Series 3. Leeds

Yup, my Legacy was robbed at some point last night, parked outside the Premiere Travel Inn in Holbeck, Leeds, M621 J1. All I found at the crime scene was a small piece of ignition barrel, no glass or anything. They also got around my Toad immobiliser.

It's violet blue mica, quite a rare colour, so will look purple or blue depending on the light, a BE5-B, with WRX front brakes that aren't shown in this picture:

The police dont seem too interested. They made me take the one bit ov evidence into a police station myself, so it has my prints all over it now.

Hopefully it wont be found and I can get another car, but here's a warning, don't buy the thng if you see it.

Now been found 6 miles down the road, glass smashed, barrel done in, immobiliser presumably been disabled. Car PC still present, but a server from the back seat has been robbed and I imagine all my other stuff has too.

And just to stick the knife in, the police are charging me £105 recovery + £12 a night storage, and will not let me collect it until tomorrow.

I guess ScoobyClinic will be getting more money out of me, or at least my insurance may as well drop it off on the way back home from Leeds.

Sorry to read about your misfortune. Any ideas why they only did 6 miles ?
Seems like a lot of trouble to travel a short distance.
Hope the financial damage aint too bad.
Nik.

Sorry to hear about your bad news.

Is there CCTV in the Car Park?

Probably dumping it to see if it had a tracker.

Yes there's CCTV. Nod sure if plod actually care enough to go and look at it though.

I'm more worried about the engine than the bodywork damage. B4 engines are very sensitive and have a tendency to detonation, so it's probably on it's way to melted piston rings by now, especially if they put 95 RON in it (there was hardly any fuel left when I parked it up)

No idea who nicked it or why yet, but they obviously knew how to get around the immobiliser, so they can't have been completely opportunistic chav types.

sorry about your misfortune mate from my experience in the insurance industry security systems just arnt good enough people need high visibility with todays toerags to deter them and a decent trip switch is the only way to go, p.s hope the car is alright.
