Its kids about 11 years old. Watched them eyeing up all the cars with alloys in my works car park. I`ve just stuck with the plastic ones as they seem to like the shiny ones better!

Hi Darks,

In the last year I have had my door dented twice in a car parks, my door dented (£500)by a hit and run, my dust caps nicked, both sides keyed up (£1200), my gf wrote off an alloy, and the local dealer striped the locking whell nut key and denied it!!!! I do live in central london. Local plod tell me they have better things to do than deal with this?

Your not alone mate!!!!!

I recently had two nicked which is evidence of someone/thing having a bike .

I just removed the last two but have bought a new set of 4 which go on when I attend shows and events

my basic black ones dont get stolen but whenever i change to some chrome ones they tend to go within a week or so! Within the last yr i must have had 4 sets stolen. This weekend another set got stolen in blackpool car park! Didnt fancy the lockable ones in case i lost the key plus the hassle of undoin them...i guess i will hav to change my view on that.

my black rota alloys have had a dust cap nicked by a spotty kid aged about 6. He also went for the valve covers and nicked all 4 whilst we were on holiday. However his mate 'persuaded' him to put them back before I got back and I found them in a small pile behind our front hedge!

he tried the same thing on a TVR tuscon which was parked in our neighbours drive last week, but got caught by the owner just as he was unscrewing the third one. After a bit of a shouting match/abuse, the neighbour was confronted by the kids father complete with baseball bat!. Police were called but nothing came of it.

and this is a nice area of Weston!!

anyone know where I can get black rota dust covers from!

I've had just pairs stolen of my scoob too. When I had my Mini, all four would go once a week, stupid thing is, the metal ones on the Mini cost less from BMW than the black plastic ones did from Halfrauds...lol!

IMy neighbour called me last week to ask if I had fancy dust caps, I said yeh there little chrome subaru ones, he then said well theres a kid at your car now nicking them. I nipped outside and got him bonnie as you like. Asked for my caps back and told him I would speak to his parents the next day.
Well poor lad was about in tears which was nice as all you normally get is a heap of cheek. So idn't speak to his parents but hope he learnt a lesson.
I was a kid once and certainly wasn't an angel but I've always been into cars so would never steal or damage one.
