Default PPP Backbox 06 Sti

I have an MY06 Sti PPP and after having the PPP fitted at 1k miles the backbox developed a rattle inside. No problem, took car back to dealer and had new PD backbox fitted under warranty.

Now a further month on and the rattle is back again in the new BB. Anyone else having this issue with the PD backbox?

Maybe there is a general problem with the 06 PD BB but I dont really want to keep having a new PD BB fitted every month.

Normally PD bits are of high quallity the 02-04 PPP B/Box were made by a very well know Exhaust Manufacture H&S IIRC

But at least it's a no quibble warranty

I've had my PPP backbox (MY06) on for a good few months now, the only thing i have noticed is it getting louder as the internals 'soot' up. Apart from that no rattle at all.

I though PD backboxes were done by Scorpion rather than H+S.... just going of hear say tho

Tony.

I had a Scorpion on my P1 and it to developed an anoying rattle. Took it back and swapped it no problem & no issues . never had another problem or rattlewith the second one. Seems that the baffles can work loose - I was given the reason that not enough spot welds were being used.....

I also believed that Scorpion build the back boxes for the boys at Banbury..

Scorpion do make the exhausts for Prodrive. This I know as I had a load of un-engraved ones off them a couple of years ago and sold them on here and one is on my car still

Not disagreeing with you mate, but I remember reading about a Forester the EVO mag. had as a long-termer and they fitted a Prodrive backbox to it which they said was made by Janspeed! I`ve had 3 Prodrive exhausts (WR Sport, P1 upgrade & PPP) and they`ve been all quality items.

I am thinking of getting the PPP done???? ( ihave standard 2006 sti type ukwith kwikshift)

Is it worth getting the PPP u think???

Bil,

Yes I am very happy with the increased perfomance. Yes you can go elsewhere and get more bhp for less money, blah, blah, blah

but

I am very happy with the whole package I have (except the BB of course) and most importantly, I have 3 year warranty!!

If your thinking of getting PPP, go to a dealer and test one.
