So am i just c*** at the 1/4 mile?
Ran at melbourne dragway on sunday,
this was my quickest time
1.366 reaction
2.046 60ft
8.517 1/8 ET
81.19 1/8 MPH
13.164 1/4 ET
106.52 1/4 MPH
its a MY97 uk classic with around 330ish BHP running the following mods:
Full decat
Stainless Headers
TD05 big 16G FE
255 pump
Fuellab regulator
nismo 550 injectors
Apexi power FC
AVCR @ 1.5 BAR
FMIC
HKS mushroom filter
Organic clutch
Does this time seem ok for my spec? was hoping to get into the late 12's
how does this compare to anyone with a similar spec?

If his 0-60ft time is good, how will a better start improve the time......
Im being a little presumptious here but with those times, im guessing you were in a qualifying section. Therefore the reaction time means nothing to the total time, you should really be getting .6 to .7's, for the reaction, .5 is a perfect launch. But, like i siad, this time means nothing to the 1/4 time when qualifying,

hence why i said 1.8 is normal, whereas his was 2.0, subtracting 0.2 from 13.1 give your 12.9......which is what i was getting at?

There is a school of thought that suggests that for every 0.1s you take off your 60ft time you reduce you terminal by 0.2s.
Which is a good job as I used to lose 1s a run on my gearchanges alone
2s is slow for a Scoob
1.8s is average although lots of people don't get better than this
1.6s is very good
1.5s is outstanding and very few cars achieve this
If you were bogging you simply were not being brutal enough. With 330bhp in a classic you need to drop the clutch at much higher revs, 5,500rpm plus, and make sure you get wheelspin.
Then as the wheels spin hold it on the limiter until you feel the acceleration start to petre out. Then change into second - this will give a fabulous 60ft time as you will be changing into second after you had hit 60ft. Technique used by A Forrest no less and in all the different Scoobs I have driven it worked for me too getting 1.6 and 1.7s 60ft times with great frequency.
With your power to weight ratio a good quarter miler could get well into the 12s (so not me then - I was only really good at starts!)
Rannoch
PS Edited to add that the wheelspin technique may seem brutal however is actually less harmful than not breakink traction and breaking something else such as you clutch, gearbox, driveshaft, etc, etc.
