Noobie question
Hi all,
This may seem like a strange question but i'm looking to buy an impeza next week and am trying to find a way to pay for it privatley without lugging a massive ammount of cash around. What are the other options to cash that most people consider (i'm askin cos i've spent at most £2k on a car with cash previously)
Thanks

there's been quite a few folk scammed with fake bankers drafts of late so folk are getting a bit wary of them too.
will just depend on the person your buying from, on which form of payment they would prefer
check to see if there is a branch of your bank near to where your going to see the car, if so you could withdraw the cash from there

at the back of the bankers draft there is usually a freephone number for the bank the seller can call it and verify with the serial number and i think its available 24/7.

You can have a CHAPS bank transfer that goes straight into the other account, or a normal bank transfer. Even do it over the net.
You can't beat cash though for getting a bigger discount on the car and a quick decision. I've still got 4.5k left over in my pocket (literally) from when I went scoob hunting. I've my wedge there for 2 weeks now and have no qualms walking about with it.
Word of warning though, there was a story about a bloke that got robbed when he went to look at a car that was sold on Ebay. I should imagine its a very rare occurance, but something that has to be considered.
