the original bugeye PPPs were all piggyback ecus. Blobeye onwards were reflash ecutek'd ecus. this was also when the percieved power output went up from 245 to 261bhp

I know because I had one of the first with the new fuel pump fitted without it being recalled for retro fit.

Although it wasn't clear at the time it has been covered by Mike Wood from Prodrive that NON have ever been ECUtecked, Prodrive used the same or similar software to upload the map, but they were not ECUteck maps.
The UK300 power graphs are here, before and after PPP,as per the official Subaru brochure.
