Has Powerstation changed your gear oil?
#2
It has been brought to our attention (thanks Moray)that we have been putting the wrong oil in the Difs on scoobs. This was because of wrong information from our Silkolene Rep. If you have had us change your diff or gear oils recently give us a bell and we will replace it with the correct oil.

There aren't many companies that would post a message like this.
Well done lads! You obviously care more about your customers than you do about clever PR crap, etc.
We all make mistakes, it's how you deal with them afterwards that matters.
regards
Simon

The Boa is fine for the rear dif but you should change the ProSRG 75 in the gear box to syn5. I think that if you have a standard front dif (non Limi) srg75 will not cause any damage but I would still change to syn5 to be on the safe side.

Well I haven't posted on ScoobyNet for ages, but this has really got me. I would like to echo Simon's sentiments wholeheartedly, and also highlight this positive reaction for the benefit of the various suppliers out there who think that they will get "jumped on" if they admit their mistakes in public.
There may be some people optimistic (or daft) enough to think that an engineer or technician can be 100% infallible, but those of us with eyes and active brains know different. Suppliers who claim that "there has never been a single problem with any of our products" shouldn't impress us, as they are probably massaging the truth.
On the other hand, people who have enough confidence in their abilities to admit their errors -- and enough integrity to assume responsibility for rectifying them -- certainly deserve credit (and more business). RichiB I salute you sir.
Best regards,
