As above. Anyone done it? Any side effects?

Have read about it on some American forums but getting mixed opinions

Cheers guys

It's a joint piece in the boost solenoid pipe that restricts the flow. Apparently if you remove it it brings boost in earlier and holds boost for slightly longer

That could be one benefit by removing this restrictor. When I first fitted a boost gauge to my Scooby I thought there was a blanking plug screwed into the connector for the boost pipe. removed it prior fitting, When driving the boost gauge sounded like a rather P'ed off rattle snake. Contacted GGR and they advised me that it was actually a restrictor to dampen the boost fluctuation. I would think this resrictor you are talking about is there for a similar purpose and in the longterm could have a very detrimental affect on your car. Just athought
