Default Ninja Down pipe

Seen an advert from Scoobyworld for a front down pipe that incoperates a sports cat. Was wondering if any one has had one fitted and what they think of it. They say it will pass a M.O.T.

Yes, I have one; they're excellent. Wasn't a restriction at my level of tune (320bhp on a Uk classic, with supporting mods, of course). The car will pass the MOT easily. STiX on here has one too and recently sailed past his MOT. At £299 they are also superb value for money.

I bought the ninja d/p over a month ago and waiting for a remap before getting it fitted. However, im having second thoughts in case it is significantly restrictive compared with a decat d/p. NS04 , u are definatly sure it wasnt restrictive? please reassure me the best u can so i dont regret buying it cos i hav recently found out my local mot station is quite friendly wen it comes to full decats. Im also hoping the ninja d/p is quieter than a decat d/p cos im likely to go for a blitz nur spec r.

Im interested in one due to MOT reasons and they are only supposed to be 2 bhp less than a decat pipe so I cant see how it would be much more restrictive.
Also does anyone know if you still get all the pops and bangs with a sports cat?

As Ns said above, mine flew through MOT on its own - top piece of kit.

On standard TD04 my MY00 produced 273/273 with this and Magnex cat-back

I don't get any pops and bangs though, but I don't know if I would with a decat downpipe either.

Hiya,

My My99 develops about 320bhp ft lbs torque with one, which is bang on for the mods I have, basically, uprated exhaust (2.5inch) fuel pump, turbo (VF35) ported headers, hoses. You might get 2-5 bhp more with a decat.

Mine also pops on the over-run especially in 2nd gear.

Any 2.5" classic, although they are bringing them out for new age soon.

You'll gain some more horses as it isn't as restrictive as a normal cat.

Before mine was remapped it was producing 230bhp, so 15bhp gain with the Ninja Sports cat, JR panel filter and Magnex cat-back.

After Tek3 remap its now producing 273bhp/273lbft.
