The tyres look a bit odd to me. Almost like slicks. Cant quite make out what they are dont look much like road tyres. What do you lot think.
Have seen cars with lesser side imacts than that where people have died. Lets hope they didn´t have a passenger with them at the time!

If they are standard Subaru fitment from the factory, then I can see some sort of insurance and court claims against Subaru.

Why, they are fully road legal and EU approved If you drive beyond the adhesion of any tyre, can you blame the manufacturer And if it is proven you were breaking the speed limit at the time then how can you blame anyone but yourself. Too many people looking to blame anyone else for their own mistakes or inadequacies these days

I appreciate they are legal and EU approved but, if they are specifically pointed out to be a major factor in a number of accidents, then I'd assume some sort of legal challenge will be launched for compensation etc.
I'm not condoning any compensation claims, merely speculating that fitment of tyres of this sort may leave them open to challenges in the future.

The tyres as stated are standard... i have been told to just run the pressure around 28-30psi when it gets really wet and they shouldnt be that bad (providing you dont drive on them like you can on a dry road, since not many 'winter tyres' will perform like these when it is hot/dry.. if any)

Tyres are as above Bridgestone. Worst tyre ever made and were a contributory factor in me writing off my STI. Grip levels are v poor to say least unless u warm tyres up first. Read on an American website that Bridgestone have been taken to court before over their dangerous tyres! If u have these on your Scoob change them tomorrow, or if ur local KwikFit is still open do it now before they shut. Oh and drive carefully on way there!!!

You are right. I get the mag every month and it did do a feature on a classic with a newage transplant.
