On the way to work today a fox decided it would jump in front of me.... I was going about 60 and hit the brakes quick which stopped the car in a standstill and then there was the thud!
I then looked to the left and saw the fox running away back into a forrest sort of area...
I then stopped at the next layby to see what the damage was like... There was some sort of yellow fluid stuff on the front fog light cover and it had popped out of position, I then noticed that the clip at the top had broken off
It seems I was lucky as there is no damage other than the clip broken, but I thought I would ring my Subaru garage to find out how much a replacement fog light cover was.. after all its only plastic...
My car is a 2002 WRX STI with the prodrive style kit on board which has just had a full respray on th car.. (typical)...
to my amazement the guy on the phone comes back and says.. oh yeah we can get them they are £296 a pair
I said I only needed 1 but Subaru only sell them in pairs.... so I now have 1 coming from a Scoob breakers yard ready for spraying £40 !
How the hell can fog light covers be worth £296 ! !
Anyone..............

I was shocked at the prices for the classic fog light covers, £60 upwards from most places. Found a company selling then on fleebay in the end, £26.99 delivered-from America
They fit pretty well too, only thing is that I had to spray them myself.
