Default In car navigation advice

Yo All...

I want to get some in car navigation device but not sure where to start really. I have heard of this Tom Tom device but not sure of the pros and cons.

I do not want to spend too much to start with and do not want to buy a PDA or use my phone. Therefore I need a neat dash / screen mounted device which talks to me and tells me where to go. Not looking to really spend more than between say £200-300.

I assume it must have sat nav (otherwise would not know where I am ). Not sure if it updates its maps via wireless link - or do you download latest maps from a PC?

Will it have speeds camera data?

Can someone give me some basic starters to get me going?

cheers

MArk

Have a look here for some reviews. http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/item-menu.php?idSubCat=11

Personally I like TomTom for it's ease of use.
