Mostly interior and exterior cosmetic changes but there was some very minor engine mods also larger top suspension mounts but not certain if front or Rear. IIRC

I had a blob saloon and a bug wagon. The Blob had much better performance. Partly due to it being slightly lighter, however I think the 10bhp peak power increase hides what you could see on a power graph - a lot more power through the range.

you can use the following analogy for a good reason why you should have a bugeye, Just convert it a little.......
Never marry a good looking woman, always pick a dog ugly one. Then you wont be too upset when she leaves you.

Bug eye looks are hidious - and I admit blob eye isnt that great... very strange shape lights.
Zero Sport do a 'spoiler' kind of like an upside down eyebrow spoiler... it'll set you back £100 (unpainted)... I tried to recreat it and improve it slighty.
1st I tried black to go with my cars theme, now is colour coded... think I like the black better?
also some might notice my car is an 02 reg... it actually started life as a horrid little bug eye until the previous owner completely updated it to blob eye (money well spent on his part, lol)

BUGEYE is just all wrong..
It should never have carried the Subaru badge. How the hell did they end uup with that design coming from the classic.
I mean i know the Lancer and the Impreza were starting to look very similar but surely there were better ways to get the product to look different to Mitsubishi!

Bug-eye ALL wrong comments - you need to get a grip.
It handles better than the previous car and remapped and EcuTek'd is just as quick as the equivalent on the blob (revised manifold and tweaked map gave that extra 10bhp). Bug-eye is lighter than the blob-eye just to set the record straight.
Can't believe some of you are so narrow minded as to judge a car soley on the basis of it's headlights... which in *your opinion* you don't like. If your looking to win a beauty contest then why buy *any* subaru.
I go to plenty of meets and sure people say they prefer this shape to that but some of you don't seem very good at keeping things in perspective.
Some of you lot really f*** me off to be honest. This is a Subaru forum for all owners of the marque and this place is often let down by the sort of thing happening on this thread.

Agree with you completely there. Much prefer the head lights on my bug-eye to the blob-eye... just too big and out of proportion.

Give the blobeye the same treatment and do you still not have that same gap in performance???? thats a question BTW

ou have just judged the blobeye on its looks so your opinions now count for nothing more than ours lol
as for the second part of that, your dead right, i didnt buy mine for look, but i accept my blobeye is an ugly looking brute lol, its you bugeye owners that get wound up far to easily.
